What is FIFO and why does it matter?
FIFO (First-In, First-Out) means the first items you purchased are considered sold first. This is crucial for accurate profit calculation, especially when purchase prices change. RetailEase automatically tracks which batch was sold, calculates the correct cost of goods sold (COGS), and gives you true profit margins - not estimates.
Do I need accounting knowledge?
Not at all! RetailEase is designed for sellers, not accountants. You just enter basic information (purchase, sale, return), and the system automatically creates proper accounting journals with debit/credit entries. At tax time, simply export everything to Excel and share with your chartered accountant.
How do returns work?
